Yeah, havent said anything for awhile. Im remaining a little quiet, been unlike myself for a bit, I m sure I'll get back to normal in the summer, Im feeling very stupid lately and all of this is overwelming, my activities and such... Im not willing to quit any though, its a boring life sitting at home gaining pounds all day anyways.

Ah- So busy, I can't do anything at all for pleasure, sorry about not having an intersting thing to type, but life = #1 Priority. But, I cant say that we had our first victory in softball on Sunday the 20th!

Now i better get to my homework, I haven't finished at all, I've just started and its 11:37. How will I get through the rest of my life?!?

EDIT at 9:11 pm: I just changed a somethings around on my site.. I got my ipod back thank GOD (I left it on a friends car). I also changed the color of the links... as you can see, and when you hover over them, the cursor turns into a blue sparkly thing. Oh yeah, better add the credits.. Totally forgot.
Oh and if you can't see the cursor, thats ok, that means your not using internet explorer. Don't go throught he trouble to download it, its really not worth it to view a cursor, but if you want you can go here. :). If you are the special ones that are using explorer, a pretty cursor should appear as you hover over that link. ;)


Hmm, my moms been acting strangely..
I think I post too much personal info here, thats not toog ood, but anyways, my moms like mad at me for something, btu I have no idea. She's like "I know you talk about me, saying Im stupid and stuff" and Im like wtf?!? I have NO idea what she's talking about but shes really mad. Its kinda annoying though because she thinks I know what she's talking about, but I have no clue at all. Besides, Im addicted to these books, but I havent read all of them!!! I've only read twilight and Im seriously addicted to the rest of themmmm! Hmm, and I also found a picture of my friends at my school, strange to see them on photobucket! Heres the picture my friend, Hala found on photobucket for me. Its really really weird because these were the triplets 4 years ago! And to see them now, its too much!
They were SO cute!
Of course, they were maybe 9-10 back then, which doesnt seem to young (it annoyed me alot when people called me "little girl" and that was when I was 10. Surely there are people much older then me, so I'm younger, buts not "little"!) But now thier faces ahve changed sooo much. Its weird to see that! Ima gunna talk to them about this interesting discovery. I wonder if there are any more...
And how did my friend find these anyway?

Mariah Carey's E=mc2 album is out- Emancipation= Mariah Carey to the second power....
Thats a really creative name actually ;). Im gunna edit my video some today, theres really not much to talk about though, alot of boring things that you dont need to know ;.
I have swimming at 6:30, its 5:41 at the moment, I may be in time to catch something to eat (my mom's baking potatoes) and then skiddle off to swimming later, but I need some sleep.
These days I get so tired, I can't even hear my alarm clock waking me up! I used to wake up even before it started calling me each morning because I was freaked out my the Err Err Err noise it made, like when you get a answer wrong on a quiz show.
Strange huh?

My name is Linda, and I am the webmisstress of Vivid-opals.blogspot.com!
I started this Vivid-opals on Saturday, September 29, but before that, it used to be http://www.the-golden-part.blogspot.com/ because I thought there would be alot of great things in my life that I could blog here, but the name ended up being too long so I chose vivid-opals. In this about me page, I arranged it into a couple categories, so I dont have to put links everywhere.

How the site came to be:
The new site name, Vivid-opals has been up for maybe 5-6 months, I'm not exactly sure because back then, I really wanted a website, not a blog site.
Even though I still blogged, I never kept track of anything and constantly wanted changes to be done in my blog, it never looked so pro like most of my affies.
SO it started out as "The-golden-part" but after awhile, I got bored with the name, and wanted a fresh start. So I changed the name, and started to look for affies, my blog was getting zero hits, and most affie sites required at least 200 a day.

I had to look long and hard to find the affies that I have today, so thank you affies for having me, I appreciate it :).
I'm still wanting a domain though, if there are any deals, please tell me!

I am not very old, still a kid, but since there are thousands of online predators, I prefer not to say my full name, nor state my age, although lots of you may know by now, based on my pictures and my blogs.
I'll just leave you to wonder about it, k?

I love blogging, I love it when people I don't know from the web and around the world come to me and say hello, it makes me feel wonderfull!
Its also great to know people are actually reading my blog, so thats why you comment.
Im glad that people do, but it also helps if you comment on others peoples sites too :).
I love art, its my life as well as softball, swimming (not so much, but maybe with a better coach) and school.
I totally love it when I squish paint around in my fingers, and mash it on a piece of paper, then call it abstract. I've done it before and I will do it over and over again.

I also like reading other peoples blogs, ususally, they're all better writers than me. I tend to skip around alot, more than other writers do, but thats probably what my teachers try to tell me - That I have my own "style", which also means that I suck at writing, I will never sell a book, but I love writing anyways. *Whoop whoop*

~ I love calling and emailing, but I prefer people from the web to comment only.

I went to a studio yesterday and got my photo tooken a million times. I don't think its safe to put my picture online really, because there are so many online predators and crappy people that try to molest you and track you down from the internet, but these pictures are actually something Im proud of. I'll add an about me section. I felt bored enough to do so anyways and I might add some of those studio pictures- who knows, why dont you check it out?

Hey there, I've got a intersting topic to Post about today. Animal Testing.
Millions of people are against it, but why?
I personally half disagree with this, but Im also sorta neutral. (Make sense?)
You see, They are trying to find a cure for all these diseases, and they use little animals that they specifically breed to find a cure. If your mom, dad, brother, sister ect. loved ones lets say were diagnosed witha terminal illness, wouldnt YOU want a cure?
Would you want medicines to be tested on other humans?
What do you think will happen then?
If we never testedon animals, we'll never find cures unless we tested on Humans. ANd there arent enough Humans to go around ya'll.
I might make it sound like every animal is just a little smoothie and if you put something into that smoothie and it taste bad, you throw it away and get a new smoothie.
NO. Im not trying to make it sound like that either, Animals have feelings, but dont we have feelings too?

On the OTHER side, because of all these medicines, humans are dominating the world, creating Global warming and messing up the whole world. Well, if there werent these medicines, the human population would be even, they would die normally, just like in the caveman days and there would be no global warming, not as many cars and crap. Then there wouldnt be animal testing, but still alot more other things going on anyways, but wouldnt that be better?
I certanly don't want to live to the days when Africa will disappear into desert, or when the Polar caps melt every summer, but the time is coming in a matter of years, and I will live through it.

I spent another 4 hours getting music- I've got 90 songs on my iTunes so far, ready to be plugged onto my iPod. I've got albums from everywhere, Britney Spears, Aly&AJ, Cris brown, Colbie Colliat, just to name a few. :). Im having a blast, I hope you liked my wood grain tutorial, I spent half an hour on that. You know, to think about it, people who own website design sites spend 500-700 hours on their work each year! (Depends how often they update)There are 8 765.81277 hours in a year by the way.

This is a tutorial for wood grain, its very easy, requires no layers and takes about 5 minutes to make. It does require very basic knowledge of photoshop, such as where some tools are but nothing else.
It takes a LONG time to do all this so please respect my work!

I've searched long and hard for free wood grain patterns, but I have never seen any free wood grain patterns, you'll have to buy them on sites like fotosearch so I decided to create a subsitute that will work just as well :).

1. Open a file in photoshop and make it around 300x300 or a good size to work with and you can title it anything, Wood, Wood grain, grain... ect. Then press OK.

2. Next you want to make the base of the wood, any color you want your wood to be, I have #844c0a but you can make your color any type of a woodish color, in the brown to brownish red tones.

3. Click on the paint bucket tool and fill the background with your color. (If you cannot find the paint bucket tool, you probably have a photoshop in the CS series so click on and hold on the gradient tool until a rectangle pops up next to it with 2 choices, gradients and paint bucket. Click on the paint bucket tool and color your blank square in.)

4. Now your background is a brown color, go to the top of the screen where it has all the things like File, Edit, Image, Layer etc.. and go to Filter> Noise> Add noise. Then check uniform, set the amount to 20% and check monochromatic. Then click OK. Match my setting in the image shown...

5. Then go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur and set the radius to around 1.5 pixels. Too much will make it too blurry, too less will make really sharp, but you can have sharp wood if you desire.

6. Wood isnt that grainy so to straighten it out some, Go to Filter>Blur>Motion blur and set that to an angle of 90 and blur around 18. I have mine at 18, but it also looks good at 38, just more smooth.

7. There you go, you made your own piece of wood! Now you can tile it to make backgrounds, layouts, etc!

*note: We didn't win the softball game, it was the closest game in the world. our pitcher overthrew 1st base and the person who was supposed to be out on 1st base got a homerun. There was 2 outs already!! So CLOSE.



Any hoo, I had alot of work to be done on photoshop lately. Everything got messed up because my scratch disks were full and I still dont know how to clear them because everything I searched on google was all messed up and gay. So do any of you guys know anything about how to clear a scratch disk on Adobe photoshop?

Next thing is, I'll add some tutorials and other poo, I'll teach you guys how to make a wood carving image :). It looks quite cool, but i didn't come up with the idea, my mom borrowed this photoshop tutorial book and I'm just getting some ideas to make a cool tutorial. I hope you like em.

I spent 4 hours today cleaning crap on my computer to make room for scratch disk space, and then my dear dad took over and deleted adobe photoshop by accident.
Now since Ive reinstalled it, I'll make a tutorial for you :). Its my first big accomplishment, yay.

Theres a softball game today (DUH, its in the title) but Im getting picked up by our pitcher on our team since both my parents are busy which is why Im home alone right now. I knew I should have posted yesterday, in time for April Fools so I can get a chance to fool you all (although all you guys are smarter than me and would probably know I'm totally not joking.. Right?)
I had picture day today but I think my picture is messed up. Im probably not going to buy it, I never do. Plus, this year I especially looked atrocious. Every year, something messess up my picture, like a bit of blue fuzz in my hair, a enlargement of my elbow, messy hair. bad smile, puffed eyes... so I decided to dress in something that I think looked really good, Im sure the guys didn't mind, neither did most people, but the people who thought they were all popular and wear Hollister all the time asked my why I was wearing a granny shirt. Wtf. I'll take a picture of the shirt NOW if you want to know what it looks like. And I am listening to the Ipod, which explains the strings...

What are YOUR thoughts?
You see, I worked out a idea/solution to why these people say these kinds of things, seriously, GRANNY SHIRT? Grannies dont even wear pullovers most of the time. They always button up.
Anyways, people like them have no style to begin with, all they wear is hollister or american eagle, they dont even need to worry about mathching and ohter clothes complications because every shirt is the same thing over and over again, a dulled color with the stores name on it. And with dull colors, you can match almost anything together. No one else said it looked like a greanny shirt. And Sarah said :" Your wearing so much pink, its almost annoying" but you could totally tell how she was jealous, her tone, her face (Just some background information, shes not... "slim") and she was looking at my legs compared to hers, which was kinda awkard, but it made me feel sorta sad. It does make me sad when people say " Clothes aren't everything" because when you're in middle school, it is.
In high school, everyone gets more mature, but in my middle school bus.. Well, every girl on my bus is a bitch anyway, no one cares about losers like them, even if they still do hurt you. I look forward to haing my OWN sense of style thank you very much, and not wearing name brands, I think I can wear wal-mart or target for the rest of my life because their designers have STYLE.
I also think the society is messed up, Im starting to see ELEMENTARY SCHOOL kids wear Victoria's secret. Are you kidding me?!? DO you see what kind of things are on their website? Its almost like playboy! (maybe not.)


Anyways, I better go now.
